Following the success of the evening held at the Vaudoise Arena “Comment mieux prévenir les commotions cérébrales dans le sport ?” a similar event took place in Geneva this past Monday, August 25th, at the Stade de Genève, in the form of a round-table discussion focused on concussions among young hockey players.
It was with great pleasure that PMG had the chance to take part once again.
The discussions were extremely dynamic and rich. In particular, they highlighted the gaps that still exist today, in sport and in society at large, when it comes to recognizing concussion risks and knowing how to respond, including through tools such as the CRT6 or SCAT6. It also reaffirmed just how valuable these information sessions are, and how central a role parents play, often more than we realize, in raising awareness and preventing injury.
A big thank you to the organizers and the other speakers: Patrick Andrey, Prof. Dominique Pioletti, Dr. Nicolas ROLLAND, Dr. Catia Beni, Lucas Podgorsek, Laurent Perroton, Mathieu Falbriard
This kind of exchange is essential to keep advancing concussion prevention in sport, at every level.
